Open Sunday from 2-5p

This is an utterly charming 2/1 with a cottage feel and terrific landscaping, we were walking on fresh mint today and two lilac bushes are blooming...

It is located on a quiet street in the Corbin Park neighborhood and has a nice fenced back yard, detached garage with automatic opener and a separate shed for storage.

the kitchen is very open, with eating area, gas stove, refrigerator and washer/dryer hookups.

The home has central heat and air and the great built in storage that is customary for homes of this era.  We just installed new ceiling fans in the bedrooms today so the house is all set and and ready to go.

FINALLY CLOSED !

We closed on the 3/1 yesterday, pictures coming later today.  On Friday will start the updates, most importantly a new air conditioner and within a week or so, it should be ready to rent.  There might be an Open House this weekend - will post here if there is.

Latest Word

Latest word on the 2-bed... "maybe next week."  Latest word on the 3-bed... no one seems to know.  So, no openings at this time.  I'm going to have to post pictures of our own home renovation just to keep people entertained!

Aaaarghhh - Delays and more delays

This is why we don't post pictures until we own the properties... delays on BOTH houses in the works.

I think they'll get worked out but meanwhile, we were supposed to close on the 2 bed on Monday and that's just not happening.  I should, however, have some idea of when it will happen by early next week.

Another one in the pipeline...

Looks like we might be getting a 3-bed, in the Musgrave-Pennington neighborhood.  A nice family community with good schools.  Pictures soon and with any luck available in April.

Meanwhile, if I'm occasionally distracted,  we finally found a single story that will meet our needs so it looks like we'll be moving for the first time in 18 years.  Oh my goodness, it's crazy just thinking about it.

New House

Our offer has been accepted for a darling 2/1 brick in the Corbin Park neighborhood - near 15th and Portland.  This house doesn't need much updating so we're hoping to have it available in March.  Stay posted for details - no picture yet, prefer not to post pictures until we own the property!

In other news, our tenant is working through the fun process of buying their first home so we still don't know when that property might come up, quite probably also in March.

Until then, I hope everyone gets to enjoy the snow as much as my dog does...

We were so pleased not only to meet a bunch of people at the Open House on Sunday but also that several of the neighbors who knew the prior condition of the house stopped by and were wowed by the updates and improvements.  It's always nice to get that kind of feedback.

Back to the hunt for the next house which is always fun.

For anyone who has a little longer time window to work with, we do have one family who is thinking of buying their first home. If they are successful, I should have a really nice 2/1 available, probably by the end of March.

Will keep that and any other openings posted here as things come along.
